who does it hurt to be yourself?
a sea of eyes killing you inside
an existence defined by an image when you have so much more to offer
it does not matter what image you project
a system in a choke-hold that can no longer support
how can anyone be happy without basic needs
living shouldn't come with a cost
the emotional weight of just being yourself
your achievements are what define you
gender, race and sexuality are not for you to judge
and the conversation around them is for me alone
a society manufactured to single out difference
who has the selflessness to support the young?
who will save this generation from an early grave?
